Much like many downtown layovers, the primary challenge in Cleveland is the fact that most of the restaurants cater to the downtown workers, which means not much is open for dinner nor over the weekend.

What I found this weekend is:
If you want something quick, there is a Subway nearby - go left out of the hotel, then right at the light. Half a block on the left is the Subway. Across the street from here is a CVS.

The hotel actually has pretty good food.

If you want some real food there are two places to find a lot of choices:
go right out of the hotel for about 4 blocks and you'll find many choices of bars and other sit down restaurants. This area is called the warehouse district.

What I like better is toward the baseball stadium:
Right out of the hotel, left at the light for a few blocks until you can't go any further.
If it is a weekday and lunch time, Dave's Cosmic Subs is great.
Otherwise there are many choices in this direction
